Please don't forget about the benefit for "Smokin Joe" Lebotte.
Joe's a racer from Kewaunee who was diagnosed with multiple myeloma more than a year ago. He's undergone two separate bone marrow transplants.
As someone who walked in his shoes earlier this year I can tell you the expenses he's got are enormous. He's home now but he's still got a long road ahead of him. He's going to Milwaukee for treatments at a minimum of twice a week.
The racing community stepped to the plate for myself last fall and let's rally the troops and help out Joe.
His benefit begins this Saturday night, March 19 at 7 p.m at the Rendezvous Pleasure Palace. Joe himself will be arriving sometime after 8:30 p.m. There will be several door prizes and a silent auction from what I'm told. Should be a good time.
Rendezvous Pleasure Palace is located four miles south of the race track on County N in the town of Luxemburg.
From Green Bay it is approximately 11 miles east taking County Highway V. Then go north on N approximately one mile to Rendezvous Pleasure Palace.
