"GOLDIE RETURNS TO THE TRACK"

Dick's last competitive short track car nicknamed "Goldie" will once again compete with Dick at the wheel. Dick and ASA team owner Kevin Lang of Advanced Racing decided it was time to have a short track car that would be competitive, safe, and exclusively available for Dick for special short track events. Kevin drove down during the winter and picked up "Goldie" and took her back to his shop in Medina, MN to give her a new dress and give her the latest in racing technology. Dick and Kevin are working with Tesar Engineering for their short track motor program. Goldie will carry the #99! Dick won back-to-back years in 1989 and 1990 at Phoenix International Raceway in the Southwest Tour events held in conjunction with his first two NASCAR Winston Cup races. After 1990 Goldie was retired to his "play shop" in North Carolina. When she hits the track she'll be a 2004 Monte Carlo.
